Aloha, I’m Shawn, the founder and maker behind Sea Darling Studios on Maui.
I’ve been a Maui business owner for the past 13 years through my photography company, Love and Water, where I’ve had the privilege of telling visual stories alongside my husband, Adam while raising our three kids.
Sea Darling Studios was born in the corner of our garage where Adam one day moved some boxes, added a table and encouraged me to use my creative freedom to carve out a workspace.
Each piece I create is inspired by the pastel palette in our ocean art images, photographed primarily at sunrise and sunset in south Maui. Because I draw inspiration from the coastal tones, you'll see a bunch of soothing seafoam, precious pinks and positively perfect purples. Give me all the candy colors!
Sea Darling Studios is a heart-led collection of wearable reminders of the ocean, dreamed up with intention when I can’t fall asleep after that 5pm espresso.
