• Carefully selected shells which are personally collected while diving on Maui

Because many of our materials are natural, each piece is one of a kind. Variations in color, shape, and texture are part of what makes your jewelry unique.

14k gold-filled jewelry is designed to last for years with proper care. It can handle everyday wear better than gold-plated jewelry, but we recommend removing your jewelry before swimming in the ocean, pools or hot tubs and avoiding contact with sunscreen, perfumes, lotions, and harsh chemicals whenever possible.

After wearing, wipe your piece with a soft cloth and store it in a dry place to keep it looking beautiful.

Our pieces are made to be enjoyed for years to come, and with proper care, 14k gold-filled jewelry is designed to be a long-lasting alternative to solid gold. Like all jewelry, your piece may naturally change over time with regular wear.

Exposure to saltwater, chlorine, perfumes, lotions, sunscreen, and other products can affect the finish and may cause tarnishing or discoloration. These changes are a natural result of wear and are not considered a defect.

To keep your jewelry looking its best, we recommend following our Jewelry Care Guide and treating your pieces with the same care you would give any handmade keepsake.

We are unable to cover damage caused by improper care, accidents, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Once your order has been shipped and is in the hands of the shipping carrier, it is no longer under our control. While we'll always do our best to help if an issue arises, Sea Darling Studios is not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, delayed, or marked as delivered but cannot be located.

If your package appears to be lost in transit, please reach out to us. We’ll gladly assist you in filing a claim with the shipping carrier and do everything we can to help locate your order. While we cannot guarantee carrier outcomes, we’ll work with you to find the best possible resolution.

We proudly stand behind the quality of every handcrafted piece. If your jewelry has a manufacturing defect, we will repair it free of charge within 30 days of purchase.

If the damage is the result of accidental damage, improper care, or normal wear and tear, repair fees may apply.

Please note shells aren’t factory-perfect, but formed by nature and that’s exactly the beauty of them. Dents, marks and other imperfections should be expected. 

After 30 days, all repair requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Please allow 3–5 business days for a personalized response with next steps and return instructions.

Customers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with sending jewelry to and from Sea Darling Studios for repairs. We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method, as we cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

Due to the handmade nature of our pieces, we do not offer refunds at this time.

However, if your purchase isn't the right fit, we're happy to offer an exchange or store credit.

To be eligible for an exchange or store credit, contact us within 7 days of delivery. Items must be unworn, unused, and in their original condition and packaging.

Please email hello@seadarlingstudios.com before sending any items back so we can provide return instructions and confirm your exchange eligibility.

The shells used in Sea Darling Studios pieces are thoughtfully and ethically collected from ocean on Maui. We only collect shells that are naturally found, empty, and no longer home to marine life. We never remove living creatures from their shells or harvest shells from the ocean.

We collect respectfully, taking only what we use for the pieces we create.
